MOONSORROW Announces First-Ever Appearance In Poland
May 27, 2009Finnish folk/pagan metal band MOONSORROW will play their first-ever show in Poland on September 13 at the Baltic Folk & Roots Festival in Stettin.
MOONSORROW's latest EP, "Tulimyrsky" (Firestorm),came out in April 2008 via Spikefarm Records. The CD contains over 60 minutes of music, including a cover version of METALLICA's "For Whom The Bell Tolls".
The band's most recent album, "Viides Luku – Hävitetty", was released in North America in April 2007 via Unruly Sounds/The End Records. The CD — 56 minutes of music comprised from two songs — continues to place the group as one of the forerunners of the folk/viking metal scene due in part to their extensive use of folklore and pagan elements in their music and imagery.
